Hamlet in Aalen: Tragedy meets humor in a gripping staging!
The premiere of "Hamlet to Go" in the Cubaa Aalen took place on the day of German unity. The staging, staged by Tina and Marie-Louise Brüggemann, presents Shakespeare's tragic story in a humorous and inspiring version. The spectators experience the conflict of Prince Hamlet, who is confronted after the death of his father and has to deal with intrigue, power struggles and his love for Ophelia. The idea impressively shows the Tour de Force of human emotions and ends in a bloody finale.
The line -up, led by Julia Sylvester as Hamlet and Bastian Thurner as Claudius, impressed with strong representations. In addition, urban dancer as a creative unit bring a fresh wind onto the stage and effortlessly add dance scenes. With saxophone, accordion and drums, Daniela Wahler and her team ensure a contemporary musical framework. The audience rewarded the performance with a loud applause, while director Tonio Kleinknecht thanked for a thoughtful theater evening.
