Lately, the dog meadow on Zwickauer Straße, a popular place of residence for dogs and its owners, has to report gratifying news. An initiative to improve this community facility takes on forms that should benefit both humans and animals. The CEO of Sparkasse Altenburger Land, Bernd Wannenwetsch, recently handed over a symbolic check for 3300 euros to Mayor André Neumann to finance the implementation of these changes.

An essential aspect of the project is planting three trees, including a black pine, a tulip tree and a tongue tree. These tree species were selected in a targeted manner because they can thrive even in times of climate change.
