Hydrogen filling station in Mannheim: Green light for emission -free buses!
Schlachthofstraße, 68163 Mannheim, Deutschland - With a bang, the new hydrogen petrol station at the RNV depot in Mannheim was opened last week! Here, 13 modern H2-Ecitaro joint buses are now being refueled as part of the H2RHEIN-Neckar project. But that's just the beginning: At the innovative combination petrol pump, trucks, garbage vehicles and hydrogen cars can also recharge with up to 700 bar-a real quantum leap for green mobility in the region.
Martin Eggstein, head of department at the Baden-Württemberg Environment Ministry, emphasizes the urgency of the expansion of the hydrogen infrastructure: "We have to make heavy vehicles useful with alternative drives." Mannheim thus sets a strong sign, and Mayor Christian Specht even speaks of a step towards climate neutrality! The operation of the petrol station is in the hands of H2 Mobility, which have already opened a petrol station in Heidelberg. By 2032, the RNV G will completely do without diesel - a brave plan that could revolutionize the future of regional mobility. Further hydrogen stations are already being planned in Ludwigshafen. The future drives H2!
