In a sensational campaign, the emergency services of the joint search group (GFG) Dresden uncovered a theft of vehicles, which the entire Autobahn 4. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday when the officials discovered a suspicious BMW, the license plate of which actually belonged to an Audi.

The driver, a 32-year-old Polish citizen, was stopped and undergoing control. It turned out that the X5 had been stolen in Saxony-Anhalt the evening before. But that's not all - in the immediate vicinity there was a VW Passat who was apparently traveling in cooperation with the stolen BMW. Forces from Bautzen and Görlitz intervened and stopped the Volkswagen in front of the Königshainer Mountains.

The 20-year-old driver of the passat also stood under the influence and was caught without valid driving permit. When searching the vehicle, the officials even found a small amount of crystal. Both men were temporarily arrested and a blood sample and a detection treatment were subjected to clarify further backgrounds of the theft.

The GFG Dresden could therefore not only the stolen secure vehicles , but also identify and arrest the alleged perpetrators. The incident clearly shows the efficiency and vigilance of the emergency services in the fight against criminal machinations in road traffic.
