A musical highlight awaits visitors to the city church in Jena at the eighth concert of the "International Organ Summer" on Wednesday, July 10th, at 8:00 p.m. The renowned organist Frank Heye from Destelbergen, Belgium, will make the organ sound in an impressive program.

Heye will present important organ works from different centuries and countries. The concert begins with Dietrich Buxtehudes Prelude in D minor, followed by John Stanley's virtuoso work voluntary in D minor from England. A highlight of the evening will undoubtedly be Johann Sebastian Bach's "Giga" joint, which is one of the most cheerful organ works of the composer. The program ends with two pieces from the romantic sound of France: Camille Saint-Saens '"Three Rhapsodien about Bretonian Sangs" and Jean Langlais' "Fete".

The event promises an evening full of musical diversity and virtuosity in one of the most historically most important churches in the city. The “International Organ Summer” in the city church is not only a cultural highlight for Jena, but also shows the international connections and influences in the world of organ music.
