Traffic calming measures in Heinersdorf: Information event in the Pankow town hall
The information event for the planned traffic calming in the Wischbereweg in the Heinersdorf district has a new venue due to the high demand. Instead of in the street and green space office as planned, the event will take place on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 7 p.m. in the Pankow town hall, Emma-Ihrer-Saal (room 1.55), Breite Straße 24a-26, 13187 Berlin.
The road and green space office (SGA) Pankow plans a construction measure to prevent the car passage in the wiper. This should be done by the setting of the moped out of Malchower Straße by means of a structural redesign of the confluence. In the future, access with motor vehicles will only be possible from Romain-Rolland-Straße or Rennbahnstrasse, whereby the Wischbereweg on Malchower Strasse will end as a dead end. This dead end is drained for foot and bike traffic.
The measure is a reaction to complaints from the residentiality and is based on a decision of the district council of Pankow (BVV). In order to prepare the event appropriately, please register by email at sga.allgemeilleim@ba-pankow.berlin.de.
It is an important measure that aims to calm traffic in this area and to improve the quality of life of the residents. The relocation of the information event to the Rathaus Pankow enables more citizens to reach and hear their concerns and opinions. The planned construction work will make an important contribution to traffic safety and noise reduction.
The decision to move the event shows the interest and participation of the community in the planning and implementation of traffic calming measures. Due to the dialogue and transparency in such projects, better solutions can be developed that take into account both the needs of residents and the traffic infrastructure.
