Young paramedic sentenced to 13 years in prison: murder of colleague in Senne
In Bielefeld, a 21-year-old paramedic from Brackwede was sentenced to a prison sentence of 13 years for murder. The judgment was made on Monday (July 15th) under juvenile justice.
The young man had stabbed his colleague of the same age at the end of October during a private celebration in Senne with a kitchen knife after rejecting his attempts. The accused confessed the crime at the beginning of the trial in April.
The Bielefeld district court saw a special severity of the guilt because the perpetrator had shown a particularly criminal energy in the crime. This manifested itself in "insidious" and "low motives", which met two murder characteristics, said court spokesman Guiskard Eisenberg.
While a psychiatric expert found development deficits and missing emotional maturity in the accused, the public prosecutor demanded a lifelong imprisonment under adult criminal law. The defense, on the other hand, advocated a youth penalty of eight years because of murder.
The judgment is not yet final and could therefore still be revised. - nag
