Eigelingen - A dramatic incident occurred on September 6th in Eigelingen when a work accident with two injuries, including one seriously injured, was registered on a construction site. The Eigelingen fire brigade was alerted at around 9.30 a.m.

originally the assumption that an injured person was on the roof, which led to a quick requirement of the aerial ladder of the Stockach fire brigade. However, a closer look revealed that the patient was lying on an intermediate floor under the roof, which could only be reached via a ladder. As a result, the height rescue group of the Singen fire brigade was consulted in order to let down the injured person gently and in a lying position.

This was done via a special attachment point with a device rate to minimize the dangers during the abseiling. Before this actual rescue operation was able to start, the emergency services put the injured in a vacuum mattress with the help of fire brigade. This procedure ensures that the patient's injuries will not be tightened further while he is freed from his dangerous situation.

After intensive work of the emergency services, the entire rescue operation lasted around 1.5 hours and was successfully completed. The fire brigades from Eigelingen, Stockach and Singen worked hand in hand to ensure a safe and quick evacuation of the injured person.

At this sensitive moment, the police were also on site to monitor the situation and, if necessary, provide further support. In addition, an emergency chaplain of the psychosocial emergency care was present in the Konstanz district in order to look after the slightly injured construction worker until he could also be transported to the hospital.

This incident illustrates the dangers that can lurk on construction sites and the importance of a well -coordinated and professional rescue operation. The fire brigade and the rescue workers often have to adjust to changing situations, which in this case made every single use complex and challenging.
