ATM blast in Borken: 24-year-old arrested, accomplices fleeting!

At night, two ATMs were blown up in Borken (Schwalm-Eder district) and the police arrested a 24-year-old suspect. The young man is accused of having carried out the explosions in a bank branch with three accomplices. While he and two of his accomplices fled on foot, a fourth suspect managed to escape in a highly motorized vehicle.

The police mobilized a large contingent to gain the fleeting accomplices. During the evidence of evidence, two explosive packages were discovered, which were defused by experts. The 24-year-old, who is already known in several federal states because of similar acts, had two travel bags with several ten thousand euros in cash when he was arrested. It is currently being determined whether this money comes from the blown up machines. The total damage due to the explosions is estimated at about half a million euros, but nobody was injured. The investigation continues and the police are still looking for witnesses. You can find more about this in a report at www.zeit.de .
