Telekom is building a new location for better mobile phone coverage in Gumtow
Telekom strengthens mobile phone supply in the region
Telekom continues its efforts to improve mobile phone supply in rural areas. A new location was built in Gumtow to expand the cover and bandwidth for mobile phone users. This also has positive effects on the reception in buildings.
The need for bandwidth grows continuously, so Telekom is driving mobile phone expansion, reports Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom. The company currently operates 58 mobile phone locations in the Prignitz district. The budget cover is around 99 percent.
by 2025 a further 28 locations are to be added to further improve care. Extensions with LTE or 5G are also planned at 35 radio masts. In order to achieve these goals, Telekom is dependent on cooperation with the municipalities and owners in order to find suitable areas for the locations.
Therefore, Telekom calls on interested people to report to the German radio tower if they can provide space for roof or mast locations. The German radio tower is responsible for the expansion of the Telekom mobile phone locations.
With more than 36,000 mobile radio locations in operation and the construction of around 1,500 new locations per year, Telekom is one of the leading mobile operators in Germany. In order to check the availability of LTE and 5G at a specific location, interested parties can visit the Telekom website.
Thanks to the expansion in Gumtow, the mobile phone supply in the region is further strengthened and improved. This is an important step to reduce the digital gap between city and country and to enable all citizens to access the mobile phone network.
