Royal plans for the 380th broker marriage market in Bruchhausen-Vilsen
In the picturesque Bruchhausen-Vilsen, the popular broker marriage market recently took place, which attracted large crowds and came up with a variety of attractions and culinary delights. The festivity that traditional roots had was shaped by a special highlight this time: Interior Minister Daniela Behrens held this year's opening speech and thus set a successful start for the five festive days.
While those responsible are already preparing for the coming season, ghosts interesting suggestions through the round of who could take over the opening in 2024. One name particularly stands out: King Charles III. from Great Britain. The stain mayor Lars Bierfischer and Market Committee Chairman Hermann Hamann brought this serious but winking proposal into play. Hamann explained that an ancestor of the monarch in 1695 launched a tradition that continues to this day - the sale of horses on the market. This year the Brokser Markt celebrates its 380th anniversary, which would justify an invitation to Charles III.
positive feedback and tranquil atmosphere
The market master Ralf Rohlfing draws a positive record: "The opening was terrific! It is nice to see that visitors enjoy celebrating together again." Of the around 500 operators who presented the offer from rides to specialty stalls, there were consistently positive feedback. The Wasserbahn Big Splash, operated by Karl-Heinz Klünder, and Heiko Fortmann's fish and bratwurks were also achieved. The mood on the market was mostly great despite a short downpour to the fireworks.
The German Red Cross, which was on site during the festival, reported a quiet event. Operations manager Daniel Glatzel found that only a few smaller incidents had to be treated, which is an indication of the peaceful celebration of the visitors. At the most recent meeting of the market committee it was also confirmed that the fire brigade was hardly required, which speaks for a successful organization.
The event, which is considered an indispensable part of the regional event calendar, not only offers culinary highlights and rides, but also a family coexistence that is valued by the visitors. Rohlfing emphasized that the family atmosphere and the diversity of the offer made a decisive contribution to the success of the market. After the restrictions in recent years, people are hungry for community experiences and was celebrated in every corner of the market.
The anticipation for next year is already in the air. The team plans to use the positive feedback to make the 2025 market even more appealing. It remains exciting which new attractions and highlights will be waiting for visitors next year. One thing is certain - the broker marriage market celebrated its comeback and will continue to exist as one of the highlights in the region.
