NSU helper in court: Aid for predatory extortion!

NSU helper in court: Aid for predatory extortion!

A alleged supporter of the NSU terrorist Beate Zschäpe has to answer to the Dresden Higher Regional Court for helping particularly serious predatory extortion. The court found that the accused knew about the robberies of the NSU trio, but the indictment was rejected for supporting a terrorist association. It could not be proven that at the time of the deeds she was aware of the murders of the National Socialist underground (NSU). The accused is said to have made Zschäpe available, among other things, their health insurance card and personal details.

The decision of the OLG Dresden gives the Federal Prosecutor's office the opportunity to file a complaint within a week. The NSU, a neo-Nazi terroral cell, was responsible for ten murders in Germany, which were committed between 2000 and 2011, and also carried out two bomb attacks in Cologne. The two main perpetrators, Uwe Böhnhardt and Uwe Mundlos, took their lives in 2011 before they could be caught. Further information on this case is here to be found.
