Caritas Euskirchen is looking for committed young people for prevention project at driving schools

The project "Halt-Peaers at driving schools-safely on the go!" aims to educate young people and young adults about the risks of alcohol and drugs in road traffic.

project start in Euskirchen

The coordinator of the project, Saskia Mück, regrets that no young people have appeared for the information event. It emphasizes the importance of training, since young drivers are particularly at risk, to take part in the influence of substances on road traffic. Mück, who was active as a peer at driving schools even during her studies, sees the peers of the same age a central advantage for prevention work.

With a certain self -confidence and commitment, young people can act as peers and address their peers at eye level. Although there are currently still missing, Mück is personally committed to the project after work. She hopes that there are other volunteers to ensure the continuity of the project.

support wanted

Caritas Euskirchen offers interested peers an appropriate remuneration of 40 euros per assignment and estimates the duration of 60 to 90 minutes. The prerequisites are a communicative nature, motivation and reliability. A driver's license and experience in youth work are an advantage. The project coordinator emphasizes that detailed training and professional support are offered.

students and students who are interested in preventive work in driving schools are encouraged to contact the project coordinator directly. The commitment of young people is crucial to strengthen traffic safety and awareness of alcohol and drug abuse in road traffic.
