The region's football clubs successfully started their preparation season. The Heidmühler FC, SG Wangerland and the FSV Jever were able to convince in their test games.

The SG Wangerland/Tettens/Hooksiel met the East Frisian League TuS Leerhahache-Hovel in her second test game. The Wangerlanders performed strongly, although they had problems with their pressing in the first half. Nevertheless, they were able to shoot the game and win 6: 3 in the end, thanks to goals from Jan Rieken, Pascal Menken, Felix Janssen, Freark Abra and an own goal.

The FSV Jever had to cancel his planned friendly game against SV Jheringsfehn/STikelkamp/Timmel at short notice, but found a worthy replacement with the national league team SV Budberg. Despite the efforts of the training camp of SV Budberg, FSV Jever managed to win the game 2-1, even if Maurice Schwarzenberger's violation dwelled a bit.

The Heidmühler FC started the preparatory season with an impressive 5-2 win against VfB Germania Wiesmoor. Coach Daniel Oleksyn praised the willingness to run and joy of playing his team, who put pressure on the opponent with precise passports and good defensive work. Goals by Marius Preißinger, Martin Habben, Justin Dombrovski and Aaron Siebert provided the deserved victory.
