SC's season opening of SC Riessersee: cheers and ice hockey fun in Garmisch!

With fresh spirit and enthusiasm, SC Riessersee starts the new ice hockey season. The Olympic ice sports center in Garmisch-Partenkirchen experienced an impressive comeback last weekend because the club's players are preparing for the challenges of the Oberliga. The first test game against the EV Füssen was celebrated with a stately 6: 4 victory, and it was a foretaste of what fans can expect in the coming season.

The enthusiasm in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was tangible when the first games and the season opening festival were imminent. On September 7, a special event that not only brought together the professionals of SC Riessersee formed, but also their offspring and the team of TSV Farchant. A new sense of community passed through the atmosphere, which was characterized by anticipation and team spirit. The day started at 11:30 a.m. with a public training session, in which the new head coach Hunor Marton had the first opportunity to present its strategy and dynamics of the team.

festivities and special offers

In the "Alte Foyer", visitors were welcome from 11:15 a.m., and small snacks and drinks were waiting for the fans. At 1:20 p.m. there was the official opening of the EV Füssen, while the entire event took place in a festive setting. For the audience, this was not only an opportunity to watch the players in training and in the game, but also to ask their questions directly to the athletes.

from 4 p.m. the official part of the season opening festival began. The presentation of the teams of TSV Farchant and the SCR was particularly entertaining while a DJ fueled the mood. The physical well-being was well taken care of: suckling pigs and fries were found at the TSV Farchant booth, while the SCR counter came with snacks and drinks. The offspring of SC Riessersee offered delicious waffles, cakes and coffee. In addition, the Eishackler bar opened at a later hour and offered a selection of exquisite cold drinks.

In addition, there was no lack of ice hockey action this weekend. On Friday at 8 p.m., SC Riessersee played against HC Unterland from South Tyrol, and on Sunday they competed against the second division relegation Bietigheim-Bissingen. As a small extra, all visitors to the home games at the season opening festival received the first, sometimes also the second drink free of charge, which made the entire event even more attractive.

The first test games tested the team: a victory against Füssen and a defeat against Memmingen. In the game against Füssen, the commitment and the enthusiasm of the SCR team was unmistakable. Especially the mobility and willingness to run of the players who always wanted to find their way to success. In contrast, the match against Memmingen was less successful, here SC Riessersee lost 4: 6, despite an early resistance and an interim leadership.

A highlight of the first weekend was certainly the visibility of the talents that the team brings with it for the coming season. The head of the trainer Hunor Marton and the new additions like Bair Gendunov give hope for an exciting course of the Oberliga season.
