Swiftkirchen: The special honor for Taylor Swift in Gelsenkirchen!

a heart for Taylor Swift : Gelsenkirchen becomes Swiftkirche

The city of Gelsenkirchen has something very special for The upcoming Taylor-Swift concerts. In order to welcome the musician and her fans, the city is temporarily renamed Swiftkirchen. This creative idea comes from 16-year-old Aleshanee Westhoff, a passionate supporter of Taylor Swift, who had started a petition for the renaming. The Mayor of Gelsenkirchen, Karin Welge, reacted positively to the idea and implemented her.

In preparation for the concerts, the first official town signs for Swiftkirchen were unveiled, including by the ideaor Aleshanee. In addition to the temporary place name, the yellow sign adorns a pink illustration of Taylor Swift as well as colorful symbols such as hearts, stars and a guitar. Other of these Swiftkirchen signs are set up in the entire city, and the fan name remains until the three concerts take place on July 17th, 18th and 19th.

The campaign in Gelsenkirchen is not the first time that a city renamed Taylor Swift. During its US tour last year, the city of Glendale turned into Swift City for two days. Another remarkable honor was given to Taylor Swift during her "The Eras" tour in Tampa, where she was appointed mayor for one day.

The creative renaming of Gelsenkirchen in Swiftkirchen shows the city's enthusiasm and appreciation for the musician taylor Swift. It is a sign of connection between the artist and fans that only increase the anticipation for the upcoming concerts in the Veltins Arena.
