Large control in Rüsselsheim: Police discovered numerous violations in kiosks

Rüsselsheim recently became the scene of a comprehensive police campaign that brought sometimes shocking results. On Tuesday, September 3, officials carried out a large -scale control in the city center and on federal road 486. The emergency services were active between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. and discovered numerous violations of the applicable laws.

The amount of the seizures caused great astonishment. In one of the affected kiosks, the police came across illegal products that were obviously sold illegally. These included around 800 e-cigarettes, a substance that regulates in many countries and whose sale is often subject to strict requirements. Furthermore, 250 packs of Snus, a relatively new tobacco trend in Germany and 200 units of chewing tobacco were secured.

The finding of fake products was particularly striking. In two shops, 16 plagiarism of the popular Apple Airpods were discovered, which were confiscated according to the brand law. Such counterfeits are not only legally questionable, but also raise questions about quality and security. Furthermore, the police confiscated 120 tablets of a potency -enhancing medication, which led to another procedure under the Medicines Act.

If you look at the kiosks, it becomes clear that the focus was not only on drugs and tobacco products. A third kiosk supplied the officers with another surprise: several hundred liters of drinks were found here, which were not correctly provided with a deposit seal. This represents a clear violation of the Packaging Ordinance, and the operator will now have to answer to the authorities.

The controls on the B 486 were also important. A total of 159 people were checked here, including 15 cyclists, 12 e-scooter drivers and 94 drivers. The number of violations of the safety regulations, especially with regard to unsecured children in vehicles, was particularly worrying. In a further case, a 42-year-old driver was stopped without a driver's license, while a 16-year-old was reported with an electrical cleaning vehicle due to driving without insurance.

In the Verna-Park, civilian investigators also discovered a 24-year-old who was found in the luggage with more than 25 grams of marijuana and over 40 grams of hashish. This allows drug -related activities that are of great importance for the police. The suspicion of illegal drug trade could lead to serious legal consequences.
