Excursion in the Hutewald Solling: Community learning about natural landscape maintenance
uslar (red). On August 4, 2024, nature and animal lovers had the opportunity to take part in an informative excursion by the Hutewald Solling. This event was led by the certified forest teacher Christine Helms. During the approximately two and a half hour tour, the participants not only learned through the Exmoor ponies and Auerochsen, but also received valuable insights into the ecological importance of this project.
event location and organization
The excursion took place in the picturesque Hutewald Solling, which is supervised by the Lower Saxony State Forest. The meeting point for the participants was strategically located between Amelith and Polier at 10:30 a.m. at the parking lot below the Nienover Castle. The event was aimed at nature interested in nature of all ages, with a participant contribution of six euros for adults and prior registrations were required.

This type of events not only contributes to the information about the measures to maintain landscape, but also promotes the sense of community among the participants. The Hutewald is not only a habitat for the animals, but also a place where people can experience nature up close and understand better. The leadership showed how important the preservation of such landscapes is for biodiversity and ecological balance.
