On Monday, October 28, 2024, a serious traffic accident occurred at 4:45 p.m. at the Mayen junction of the A 48. A woman who came with her car from Koblenz left the highway to turn right onto the B 262 in the direction of Mayen. In the confluence area there was a serious collision with a truck driving from the left, which, despite the impact, continued its journey towards Mayen. The woman's car was significantly damaged.
