Successful IAW fair in Cologne: Positive response from exhibitors and visitors

The International Action Authority and Import Fair (IAW) has again proven that it is an important platform in international trade. In its 37th edition, which took place in Cologne from September 3 to September 5, 2024, the fair attracted an impressive 4,850 visitors and 285 exhibitors from 28 countries. The organizer drew a very positive conclusion and emphasized that the fair presented itself with modern branding and new innovative elements.

With a fresh, contemporary appearance, the IAW fair gave itself a rejuvenation cure this year. The two exhibition halls were colorful with the appropriate banners and there were numerous new features. These included the so-called "Tiny Spaces"-pleasant retreat for meetings, photo boxes and an IAW lounge. All of these elements increased the quality of visitors considerably. The modern appearance on social media also contributed to refreshing and livening the image of the fair.

The exhibitors of the IAW fair consistently comment on this event. Frank Werm, Managing Director of OSMA Werm GmbH, emphasizes: "For us, the fair is still very good". He emphasizes the combination of internationality and shopping quality at fair conditions. Detlef Heins, Sales Manager and Key Account Manager at the Hatex Group, joins this opinion and reports of many successful conversations during the fair. "The conclusions are decisive for us. We have had a lot of good conversations, the fair went well, we were able to bring our message across," explains Heins, explaining the benefit of the fair for the business initiation.

A special highlight of the event was again the e-commerce arena, which took place for the 19th time. Organized by restposten.de, this segment has been offering valuable information and exciting lectures for trade fair visitors for ten years. The organizer Stefan Grimm explains: "We want to convey relevant specialist information to visitors. Otherwise, visitors are very caught in their business. Here they have the time to get the information compressed." This shows how important the exchange and further training within the industry are.

A look into the future

The participants can already look forward to the next issue of the IAW fair, which will take place from 11 to 13 March 2025 in the well-known halls 6 and 9 of the Koelnmesse. This time there will be a special occasion to celebrate: the IAW fair celebrates its 20th anniversary. This milestone is recognized with impressive surprises for exhibitors and visitors, which only heats up the anticipation for the upcoming event.
