Discover Krefeld: guided hike and bike tour on weekends

This weekend outdoor enthusiasts in Krefeld will have the opportunity to take part in two exciting guided tours. The Association of Left Lower Rhine, in cooperation with the city marketing, invites citizens to actively discover the beauty of the city and its surroundings. These tours are special because they are in the regular program offer for the first time and after the event they are also available for download on the urban website.

Already on Saturday, September 7th, hiking friends can take a twelve -kilometer circular hike. The start is planned for 10 a.m. at Sprödentalplatz. The route leads towards Bismarckplatz and extends through the quiet outdoor areas of the northern districts of Krefeld. Hikers have the opportunity to experience the Hülser Bruch with its old trees and characteristic head pastures and to discover a picturesque path into the Krefeld city forest on the Niepkuhlen. Under the direction of the experienced hiking guides Marga and Rainer Guttmann, this tour will offer a special experience. bike tour on Sunday with cultural highlights

The Sunday, September 8th, is all about the cyclists. A 27 -kilometer cycling route starts at 10 a.m. The tour leads past the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Park to Holthausen's Kull, which was once known as a popular bathing lake. The parks in Hüls, including the royal park and the castle park, also invite you to the short visit. The route extends further along the picturesque sea chain of the Niepkuhlen to the Bruckhausen Park in Traar and finally ends in the city forest. The experienced leader Holger Dietrich will accompany the participants and ensure an informative and entertaining journey.
