New multifunctional stay in Lewerentzstrasse: a place of encounter!
redesign of the square on Lewerentzstrasse brings new quality of life for residents
The redesign of the Lewerentzstraße between Roßstraße and Frankenring in Krefeld may appear like a small construction measure at first glance, but the importance of this area goes far beyond. A place was created by a large joint project by Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, City of Krefeld and municipal company Krefeld (KBK), which can be used as a multifunctional stay.
What started as an inconspicuous turning hammer has now developed into a lively meeting point for the neighborhood. With green areas, benches and lighting, the space invites the residents of the area to linger and exchange. Here people can come together, get to know each other and strengthen their sense of community.
The reinterpretation of the square on Lewerentzstrasse helps to increase the quality of life of the residents and to make the living environment more attractive. By creating a social center in the heart of the quarter, the connection among the residents is promoted and the neighborhood revitalized.
The redesign shows how an apparently small change can have a major impact on living together in a community. Lewerentzstraße now stands as a shining example of how creative ideas and joint efforts can create a place of encounter and coexistence.
