Graffiti sprayer arrested in Trier: duel with the police

Trier -The federal police Trier had their hands full on Thursday evening when a reference from the population drew attention to presumed graffiti sprayers. In cooperation with the police from Trier and Schweich, quick intervention was necessary to grasp the lawbreakers. In a place known for its rail operating activities, the police were able to observe the suspicious activities of the sprayers.

The group, which was made up of three people, tried to quickly search for the width when discovering the police patrol. But two of the sprayers, a 31-year-old man from Portugal and a 34-year-old Luxemburger, were caught after a short persecution. However, the third person managed to escape for the time being and is so far unknown stay.

Obviously, the three sprayers had other utensils for their graffiti campaigns that were stored in the vehicle. In addition, several spray cans including special warning vests, which may be used for camouflage, were secured.

After the police measures were completed, the suspects were informed that they will be released to their residential address for the time being. However, the research will continue to find the third person who could escape on foot.

This arrest is another step in the fight against vandalism and illegal graffiti art, which not only entails legal consequences, but also affects public space. The collaboration between the various police stations shows how crucial tips from the population are to clarify such offenses.
