Hermsdorf, Deutschland - A dramatic mushroom collector adventure ended lightly! On October 20, 2024, an older couple wanted to collect mushrooms in the forests around Hermsdorf. While the husband was waiting in the car, his wife got lost and couldn't explain exactly where she was. Fortunately, she had her cell phone with her and called him. Whereupon she heard the noises of the nearby highway and decided to follow it.

In a courageous attempt to find the way back, she climbed up the concrete levels of an underpass and finally reached the A9. There a passerby alerted the motorway police when he noticed the 70 to 80 year olds with a stick and basket next to the highway. The patrol officers immediately set off and were soon on hand. When the woman saw the patrol vehicle, she overwhelmed the relief and the tears got her eyes. Together they contacted their husband, who was also able to receive them relieved.
