In the late evening of June 28th, a brutal robbery shook the municipality of Mechernich. Two young men, aged 21 and 20, attacked a 26-year-old inhabitant and robbed him. This shocking act caused horror in the small town.

After one of the perpetrators hit the face in the face, the other attacked with one hatchet and seriously injured the 26-year-old in the neck area. The cut required immediate medical care.
