Mettmann - A current police operation in Mettmann caused a sensation after emergency services were able to ensure an important amount of illegal drugs during a search on Thursday, September 5, 2024. The situation started when a 41-year-old landlord called the police after 1:30 p.m. When evacuing her property, she made suspicious observations. In the search initiated, the officials not only found utensils to breed cannabis plants, but also numerous illegal plants themselves. The responsible homeowner, a 38-year-old man of Moroccan origin, claimed to grow the plants for a licensed association, but could not show any valid license.
