"" increase in traffic accidents with small Kraf wheels and e-bikes: Common security measures required "" "
The increase in traffic accidents between small crafts and e-bikes highlights a highlight of safety in road traffic. A current incident last night on the K83 between the L33 / Am Rowaer Forst and the Rowa location has once again shown how important it is to take common measures for accident prevention.
In the collision between a small skate and an 80-year-old cyclist on an e-bike, both were seriously injured. The incident occurred when a group of small crafts wanted to overtake the cyclist. A 16-year-old cyclist could no longer prevent a collision, which led to serious injuries. Both were brought to the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer Clinic in Neubrandenburg for further medical care.
The blocking of the road for accident recording and rescue measures took about 30 minutes. The property damage incurred amounts to around 150 euros. An investigation into suspected negligent bodily harm was initiated against the 16-year-old cyclist.
The incident illustrates the need for increased education and sensitization for equal participation in petty crafts and cyclists in road traffic. It is in the interest of all road users to participate in the improvement of traffic safety in order to avoid accidents and injuries.
