Diadema GmbH: after insolvency restart with cleaning and catering
The contradiction between renovation and resource recycling becomes particularly clear in Diadema GmbH, a subsidiary of the Diakonie in the Oldenburger Land. Despite the challenges with which the organization has been confronted, the course is now on the future.
successful restructuring
After opening insolvency proceedings in January 2023, Diadema GmbH took a decisive step towards stabilization. The consent of the creditors' meeting for the bankruptcy plan enables the company to continue its services in the area of cleaning and catering with around 160 employees. Previously, the number of employees was 189, which made the measures to save personnel necessary by around 20 people.
The economic context
The decision to close the cafés with Mithensch in Oldenburg, Berne and Blexen shows the serious economic framework under which the diadema operates. These three cafes were unable to make a positive contribution to the company's financial situation. Insolvency administrator Dr. Christian Kaufmann explained that the closures had to be regarded as a hard but inevitable measure to reduce losses. This illustrates the generally increasing pressure on social institutions that have to fight with financial difficulties despite good intentions.
focus on service and stability
With the new focus on the services in the cleaning and catering industry, the diadema not only wants to support its own care facilities, but also serve external customers. This includes the meals of thousands of daycare children who rely on the gastronomy of Diakonie. Kerstin Kempermann, the spokeswoman for the Diakonie, emphasizes that the cleaning services are considered the load -bearing element of the diadema and play a centrally important role in the new establishment.
Financial overview for creditors
There is also a positive message for creditors: the first insolvency rate is 30 percent, whereby there is the possibility to increase this quota to 57 percent by a so -called improvement certificate. On average, insolvency rates are usually in the single -digit percentage range, which makes the success of the diadema all the more remarkable.
A look at the future
"We see the realignment as a way to emerge strengthened from the crisis," explains Mario Behrends, Managing Director of Diadema GmbH. The entire situation shows how important it is to react flexibly to market conditions and at the same time to consider the social obligations towards employees and clients.
In summary, it can be said that Diadema GmbH is on a promising path to master its challenges and to find new stability in a difficult economic environment. The focus on cleaning and catering could not only ensure the survival of the company, but also its central role in the welfare sector.
