New network promotes voluntary engagement in Osnabrück
A merger of representatives of the welfare associations, churches, umbrella organizations and non-profit organizations in Osnabrück has strictly met in the town hall to launch a new network as part of the program "committed city". The aim of this network is to promote the exchange and cooperation between the participants and to develop a practice -oriented commitment strategy for the city.
participants of the meeting were representatives of Caritas, the parity, the diakonia, curative education aid, the Catholic city deanate, the Evangelical Church Circle, the AWO and the Stadtsportbund. The Association of Exil, the “Möwe” project of the SKM and other organizations, also took part. Their common goal is to create structures that support and promote voluntary commitment in Osnabrück in the long term.
By networking the individual actors, the network can bundle the network resources and experiences, which significantly increases the effectiveness and range of voluntary work in Osnabrück. In addition, the cooperation between welfare associations, churches, sports associations and non-profit organizations creates valuable synergy effects that facilitate access and participation in voluntary activities. The development of a comprehensive municipal commitment strategy that takes into account the specific needs and potential of the city is a central goal of the network.
The network is open to other partners and invites additional organizations and interested parties to participate and thus strengthen the voluntary commitment in Osnabrück. The committed partners thus set a strong sign of the importance of voluntary engagement in the city and want to jointly improve the framework conditions for voluntary activities. All interested organizations are cordially invited to join the network and actively contribute to promoting voluntary commitment.
