Oku & Baba Shango bring Afrofunk to Püttlingen: Free open-air concert at the train station

energetic Afrofunk conquers Püttlingen

at the Püttlinger train station it will be hot on Friday, July 12, at 7.30 p.m. when Markus Okuesa, also known as OKU, appears with his new band project Baba Shango. The six -member formation of talented African musicians will present energetic Afrofunk that is underlaid with German texts.

Oku, who acts as the band's charismatic front man, is not only a gifted singer, but also a storyteller, teacher and entertainer. His appearances are a real experience in which the interplay of rhythm, melody and unbroken joy of play captivates the audience. Rooted in West African and German music tradition, the band presents a unique sound that they themselves call "soulala".

Markus Okuesa achieved regional celebrity through his participation in "Schlag den Raab" and has built up a loyal fan base with his reggaerocks. It is the fourth time that he is represented in the summer timetable of the Kulturbahnhof and his concert promises to become an unforgettable experience.
