Work accident in Leblfing- crane seriously injured
A tragic incident recently shook the small community of Leblfing in the idyllic district of Straubing-Bogen. Two construction workers, at the age of 30 and 38, were seriously injured by a suddenly collapsing crane when working on a roof. This incident highlights a highlight of the dangers with which workers are confronted on construction sites every day.
The two workers suddenly gave themselves on a conductor's stage together with two other colleagues when the crane, who was used to transport roof sheets, suddenly gave in. The crane, remotely controlled by the 30-year-old worker, crashed and clamped the men. The local fire brigade hurried to rescue and was able to free the seriously injured.
While the 38-year-old construction worker was taken to the hospital with an ambulance, his younger colleague had to be transported by helicopter due to the seriousness of his injuries. The exact cause of the accident is currently being examined by the authorities to identify possible security gaps and prevent future incidents.
This unfortunate incident illustrates the ubiquitous risks with which construction workers are faced with, and underlines the need for strict security standards on construction sites. The municipality of Leblfing and the entire Region are shocked by the accident and hope for a quick recovery of the injured workers.
