New road expansion in Blumberg: Traffic measures expected from August
In the Uckermark district, there are important changes that will affect both residents and road users. With the announcement of a comprehensive road expansion in Blumberg, specifically the K 7308, an important project was initiated, which is to be realized in various construction phases by the end of 2025.
Princive start of construction work
The construction work is scheduled for the 19th August and should last fully by the end of 2025. In the first phases, the work will initially only lead to temporary traffic restrictions, so that a complete blocking of Wartiner Straße is not planned for the time being.
Important funding measures and planning partners
Interestingly, the project is made possible by a joint measure between the district of Uckermark and the Gartz (or) office, with both funding from the country and own funds from the two institutions. The company E. Röwer was awarded the contract for the construction execution, while the engineering office Gast from Schwedt/or is responsible for planning.
Future traffic restrictions and resident information
From 2025, however, a blocking of the K 7308 in the area of the Blumberg area, specifically on Schönower Strasse, will be essential. The administration announced that in good time the exact traffic restrictions, upcoming closures and necessary diversions will be informed. This is intended to help residents and road users to adapt to the situation at an early stage.
Call for patience and for security awareness
Frank Bretsch, the district administrator's first deputy, appeals to all road users and residents: "We ask for patience and the necessary understanding to ensure the necessary protection to the workers on the construction site." A common effort is necessary to survive the permanent burdens that will result from the construction.
In summary, there are significant construction work in the Uckermark, which are of great importance for both road traffic and for the quality of life of the residents. The project marks a step towards improving the infrastructure, but also a challenge for the affected citizens.
