A quiet Sunday morning in Bad Schwalbach was overshadowed by a wave of property damage. In the night of Sunday, more precisely between 00:00 a.m. and 2:50 a.m., several parked vehicles were victims of an unknown vandal. A gray Opel Corsa was particularly affected, the rear window of which was taken and the roof was badly damaged. The injured party, who checked the vehicle early Sunday morning, estimated the damage at around 5,000 euros. The Bad Schwalbach police are asking for clues that could lead to the determination of the perpetrator.
The situation escalated even further when a drunk woman in Eichendorffstraße in Idstein damaged several vehicles around 2:05 a.m. Witnesses immediately alerted the police who were quickly on site. It was a 41-year-old Idsteiner, whose breath alcohol test showed a value of over 2 per thousand. The woman was seen while throwing pots on parked vehicles, which caused a total of 1,500 euros. Because of her aggressive behavior towards the police, she was temporarily taken into custody.

less gratifying was Saturday for a 26-year-old motorcyclist from Griesheim. He had a sole accident on the B 54 when he lost control of his motorcycle in a left -wing curve. The injured person was flown to a hospital in Wiesbaden with a rescue helicopter. Although his injuries were not life -threatening, the damage to his BMW amounts to around 8,000 euros. The impairment of the traffic was significant because the B 54 had to be blocked for an hour to secure the scene of the accident.
Another incident occurred on Friday evening when a 56-year-old man from Hohenstein and his Opel Crossland caused a traffic accident by disregarding the right of 25-year-old Taunussteiner. This collision brought property damage of around 12,000 euros and led to a slight injury to the other driver. Both vehicles had to be towed, but the traffic was not severely affected.
In addition, the Rüdesheim police reported to another incident from the same night. A 54-year-old, alcoholized on a bicycle Ukrainian, was picked up on the B42. The breath alcohol test resulted in a value of 1.71 per thousand, and the man was uncooperative during the control. After taking a blood he was able to leave the police check, but has to prepare for criminal proceedings for drunkenness in traffic.

A worrying incident occurred in Rüdesheim am Rhein when an e-bike worth 5,000 euros was stolen from a motorhome. The 53-year-old owner had attached the e-bike to her motorhome and stayed at a campsite when it was stolen unnoticed. It was a gray e-bike of the Canyon brand, “Roadlite” model. To clarify the theft, the Rüdesheim police ask for relevant information.
