Motorsport action: Kart slalom brings thrills to Kuppenheim
The ADAC Jugend-Kart-Slalom, an important event in motorsport, will take place this weekend on the MC Puma Kuppenheim MotoBallplatz. This event is not only a race event, but also testifies to a remarkable collaboration between the Baden-Baden automobile club (ACBB) and the Motoballclub Puma Kuppenheim.
successful cooperation between two clubs
The close cooperation between the ACBB and the MC Puma is of crucial importance for the success of the kart slalom. "We have gained experience in karting together in the past, and that has strengthened our cooperation," said Kevin Motz, one of the slalom leaders. Ralf Stößer, the chairman of the Motoball Club, adds: "Motoballplatz has proven itself as an excellent location." This is particularly important because the two clubs have decided to organize the kartlalom together after two other organizers from the South Baden ADAC championships withdraw.
changes in the motorsport world
A future -oriented aspect of the event is the announced electrification of motorsport. As early as 2025, only e-karts are to be used in the competitions in ADAC Südbaden. "E-mobility will also play a central role in karting," explains Ralf Stößer. On both race days, special competitions with e-karts will take place according to the regular runs of the combustion engines, which illustrates the change in motorsport.
structure of the course and competitive rules
The karting course is set up with 250 pylons and is almost 400 meters long, divided into different sections. Here, the participating young drivers, who are between seven and 18 years old, have to do various skill exercises such as roundabout or narrow spots. The rules are clear: the throwing or moving of a pylon leads to two penalty seconds, while the false driving of a section is punished with ten secondary seconds. In order to keep the competition exciting, the course will drive through on Sunday in the opposite direction.
preparation and training in Rastatt
The weekly training of the participants takes place in the Rastatt industrial area in the parking lot of Probst & Class, where the drivers can demonstrate and improve their skills. The slalom leaders ensure that the young people are well prepared for the race, which has already been shown at the successful premiere of the event last year.
sustainability and community integration
The implementation of the ADAC Jugend-Kart slalom is not only a sporting event, but also a significant contribution to strengthening the community. The cooperation between the two clubs not only brings together young and old, but also promotes an interest in technical understanding and creativity among the participating young people. During the event, everyone interested is invited to observe the exciting races and to share the enthusiasm for motorsport.
The ADAC Jugend-Kart-Slalom is not only a highlight for the participants, but also a step into a more sustainable motorsport accommodation and promotes community formation on site.
