New educational offers for the community in the Wartburg district

The Volkshochschule (VHS) Wartburgkreis has published a new program for 2024/2025, which is now available in branches and soon also in other known locations. This Initiative is crucial to promote the diversity and accessibility of education in the region.

The program books presents various courses that are particularly tailored to the needs of the community. Two offers to be highlighted are aimed at female young people and women and on the other hand to 9th grade students. These courses not only offer personal development opportunities, but also important life skills.

  • Self -defense for girls and women: This course begins on August 20 in Eisenach and is aimed at young girls between the ages of 15 and 16 and women. The participants have the opportunity to learn techniques for self -defense under the guidance of an experienced caratal teacher. This is particularly relevant in times when questions of personal security are becoming more and more present. The courses take a total of twelve evenings and take place in the Markscheffelshof 4. The fee is 60.80 euros.
  • Mathematics promotion for junior high school students: From August 22nd, a funding course in mathematics is offered for 9th grade students. This course takes place on nine Thursday evening from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Schmelzerstrasse 19 in Eisenach. The fee for participation is 63 euros. Basic mathematical knowledge is crucial for the further educational path.
