Federal Police North Rhine -Westphalia: Consistent procedure after thefts in Cologne Central Station

The Federal Police in North Rhine-Westphalia initiated several investigative proceedings in Cologne Central Station after thefts in two perfumeries. A 33-year-old shopie and a 25-year-old shoplifter were arrested.

Yesterday Wednesday the perfumery became the stage of a brazen deed: the 33-year-old woman stole four perfume bottles and a hand cream with a total value of 1,243 euros before leaving the business without paying. Thanks to an attentive witness, it was identified and arrested by the federal police officers.

At the same time, a similar incident occurred in another perfumery. The 25-year-old man was observed how he led a perfume worth 21 euros. He also had a knife with him. He was also investigated and recorded by the federal police.

The federal police have initiated criminal proceedings against the 33-year-old woman for severe theft. She was handed over to police custody and now has to answer to court. The 25-year-old man was released after the police measures have been completed, but is also investigated against him for theft.

These measures show the consistent procedure of the federal police against criminal offenses in public space. The security of the citizens has a top priority, and theft is not tolerated.
