Turbine Neubrandenburg celebrates victory at the 28th season marathon at the Reitbahnensee!

A top-class sporting spectacle! The SV Turbine Neubrandenburg was the undisputed high -flyer at the 28th season marathon at the picturesque Reitbahnensee. With a lightning start and unstoppable legs, the team around coach Jörg Knospe won the top in five out of seven categories. Incredible, right? Despite the triumph, it is not enough to push the SC Laage from the top of the MV running cup.

The SC Laage leads with impressive 7986.0 points in front of the turbine, which shine with 6120.5 points. And the Rostocker? The strong guys from Fiko Rostock, who had dominated the men's relay marathon in the past five years, were not at the start this time. The HSG Uni Greifswald ruthlessly used this absence! They overrun the field with two teams that secured first place (2: 32.02 hours) and second place (2: 43.34 hours). In third place, Turbine landed with a time of 2: 43.37. A tight competition!

Fight for the podium places

A truly impressive race! The mix relays also gave everything: the TSG Wittenburg triumphed with a total time of 3: 00.14. Close by SV Waren/Lauftam, who stormed to the finish in 3: 05.57. But the organizers were not only in top form in the mix races: Turbine also asserted themselves for the oldies and women with a sensational time of 3: 06.47 and left the SC Laage (3: 19.15) far behind. Last year there was this exciting finish!

The youngstage of the turbine team was also not to be broken! With 2: 41.42 they pushed in front of the SC Laage (2: 42.50) and PSV Röbel/Müritz (2: 48.58). In the half marathon, Turbine ran away in impressive 1: 34.31 of the competition and left the running team Rügen (1: 37.55) behind!

A total of 34 seasons were at the start, the runners fought for every meter during the heat battle. The next stop in the MV run cup? The Baaber Heidelauf on September 21! And for those who want even more: The state championships in the street run are waiting on October 13th in Lubmin! The athletes continue tirelessly day after day, followed by a cross run in Bad Doberan on November 2 and finally the Stralsund University Run on November 9th. Be ready, it will be exciting!
