At the Vocational Training Center in Weimar, a dramatic police operation occurred on Monday due to a supposed knife attack. Two students got into a violent argument that escalated and resulted in a temporary arrest of a student. According to a police spokesman, one of the arguments was thrown to the ground after a punch, with a kitchen knife fell out of his pocket, which triggered the initial alarm.

The police quickly found that the situation was less dangerous than initially assumed. A teenager suffered minor injuries while the confiscated knife is examined. It remains unclear why the student brought a kitchen knife to school. Investigations on this are underway, and a complaint was filed against the alleged attacker. The criminal police, fire brigade and an emergency doctor were also on site to clarify the situation .
