Corevas GmbH & Co. KG expands the EmergencyEye technology by integrating data glasses and drones in addition to smartphones in decision-making

Grevenbroich, February 2025 - Corevas GmbH & Co. KG, known for its groundbreaking EmergencyEye® technology, is bringing significant innovations to the market with the new version 5.7. In addition to the established software for the encrypted connection between smartphones and service facilities, the company is expanding its portfolio to include data glasses and drone technology. These new technologies enable even better situation and situation assessment in real time and thus optimize decision-making processes and help in emergency and crisis management and in customer service.
New functions for even better service
By integrating data glasses and drones, Corevas is responding to growing demands for efficiency, precision and security in remote maintenance and service support. The introduction of these technologies was based, among other things, on customer requests and practical use cases that require hands-free use and expanded perspectives, including from the air, when assessing on-site situations.
"Our EmergencyEye® technology has established itself as a reliable tool for fast and secure communication in emergency situations and in service. With version 5.7 we are going one step further and offering emergency call and service facilities even more powerful tools to support emergency callers as well as remote maintenance and deployment processes," explains Prof. Dr. Guenter Huhle, owner of Corevas GmbH & Co. KG.
EmergencyEye and EmEye-T: Technologies for emergency calls and industry
Corevas GmbH & Co. KG has developed the EmergencyEye technology for emergency calls to enable safe and efficient communication between emergency call centers and those seeking help. This technology enables real-time video transmissions, geolocation and data transmission without the need for app installation. At the same time, EmEye-T was developed for industry to support service and customer service companies in optimizing their processes, resource efficiency and sustainability.
Commitment to emergency calls and emergency response
Corevas GmbH & Co. KG is not only active in the service and maintenance industry, but is also intensively involved in the area of emergency call communication and hazard prevention. The EmergencyEye® technology is used in emergency control centers to enable more precise situation assessment and thus make rescue measures more efficient. By using modern communication solutions, Corevas helps to shorten deployment times and save lives.
Drone technology for expanded application possibilities in collaboration with the Kleve district and Westnetz
Corevas worked with Kleve District and Westnetz GmbH to integrate drone technology to support emergency operations and critical infrastructure monitoring. This development was, among other things, a contribution by Corevas to the lighthouse project SPELL (semantic platform for intelligent decision-making and operational support in control centers and situation centers) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection from 2021 to 2024. The drones enable quick and precise detection of dangerous situations from the air, which means emergency services can react even better to unforeseen events. Drones offer completely new perspectives for service operations, especially in difficult to access or dangerous environments. They enable a quick and comprehensive assessment of the situation, reduce risks for emergency services and contribute to better planning of measures. This technology is particularly beneficial for infrastructure maintenance, inspections and emergency response.
Data glasses for optimized work processes in cooperation with Rolls-Royce and Bayernwerk
The integration of smart glasses allows service technicians to receive expert support in real time while keeping both hands free for the actual task. The instructions are displayed directly in the field of vision, which significantly increases efficiency and work safety. At the same time, the service technicians can communicate with the experts via the audio function of the data glasses and receive targeted instructions. These requirements were expressed and jointly developed by industrial partners such as Rolls-Royce for work on large engines or Bayernwerk for work at heights.
Efficiency, safety and sustainability in focus
The further development of Corevas technologies aims to make processes more efficient, reduce costs and at the same time improve sustainability. The use of remote technologies minimizes unnecessary journeys, reduces CO emissions and optimizes the use of resources. With these innovations, Corevas GmbH & Co. KG is setting new standards in the service and maintenance industry and underlining its role as a pioneer in the development of smart communication and support technologies.
Innovation through cooperation
Corevas pursues the goal of developing innovations at the highest level and making the most modern technologies suitable for everyday use. This is achieved through close dialogue with users and in collaboration with partners from industry, business, universities and public institutions. Together with leading international institutions, Corevas creates groundbreaking solutions.
"We are convinced that innovation arises through collaboration and creative exchange. For example, our hackathons offer a unique platform for scientists, developers, designers, start-ups and companies to develop solutions together." Says Viktor Huhle, founder of EmergencyEye® technology.
Outstanding examples are the HACKATHONAMRING, which Corevas organizes at the Nürburgring, and the Hackathon@PMRExpo in cooperation with Koelnmesse during the leading trade fair PMRExpo. These hackathons are much more than competitions - they are drivers of innovation, promote interdisciplinary exchange and create a sustainable community. Together we shape the future – with new ideas, fresh perspectives and groundbreaking technological solutions.
