iBanFirst once again among the 1,000 fastest growing companies in Europe
For the 6th time in a row in the “Financial Times 1000”
Düsseldorf, March 5, 2025 - iBanFirst has been included in the Financial Times' prestigious "FT1000" ranking, which honors the 1,000 fastest-growing companies, for the sixth time in a row. With positive EBITDA for more than a year, iBanFirst is targeting sales of 85 million euros by 2025.
International growth through digital payment platform
This growth is due to successful customer acquisitions and strong retention of existing customers in ten European countries where iBanFirst is present. In an increasingly challenging economic environment, iBanFirst's mission is more important than ever to enable small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to efficiently manage their international payments through one global account. With the digital platform, SMEs can manage their payments, protect themselves against exchange rate risks and receive central access to their transactions. This 360° vision of international payments is the basis for iBanFirst's expansion into new markets. In 2025, the company will open two more branches in Europe.
“Only ten companies, including iBanFirst, have been included in the FT1000 for the sixth time in a row,” says Besart Shala, Country Manager Germany at iBANFirst. "We have been recording above-average growth and profitability for over a year. This is not only a clear sign of the relevance of our business model, but also shows the enormous potential of the payments market. iBanFirst has established itself as a new reference in international payments and will be the first port of call for CFOs and CEOs in the future to process all payments via a single platform. And we are only at the beginning."
iBanFirst, founded in 2016, is a global financial services provider with an innovative foreign currency management platform. In contrast to competitors, iBanFirst offers professional support from foreign exchange experts, making the fintech a reliable partner, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that operate internationally. The payment tracker, which is unique in the industry and allows companies to track their payments in real time, provides additional transparency. iBanFirst enables executives and finance teams to directly access foreign exchange markets, store, receive and send money in over 30 currencies, and develop customized hedging strategies. As a payment institution regulated by the National Bank of Belgium, iBanFirst is authorized throughout the European Union. As a member of the SWIFT network and SEPA certified, iBanFirst also has AISP and PISP accreditations according to PSD2.
