Vultr powers enterprise AI with AMD Instinct MI325X GPUs
AMD's inference-optimized GPUs available for the first time to develop and scale AI-native applications
Vultr, the world's largest privately held cloud infrastructure company, is now deploying AMD Instinct™ MI325X GPUs in its Chicago data center region. This makes Vultr the first cloud provider to offer these innovative AI solutions.
This is a result of Vultr's expanded collaboration with AMD (NASDAQ: AMD). It allows access to AMD Instinct™ MI300X GPUs and the open software ecosystem ROCm™. The collaboration connects AMD's Instinct GPUs and supporting AI network and software infrastructure with Vultr's global cloud infrastructure platform. This allows companies to develop and scale AI-native applications on a robust cloud infrastructure - with high agility, scalability, cost efficiency and performance.
“The AMD Instinct MI325X GPU sets new AI industry standards and delivers outstanding performance and efficiency for inference,” said J.J. Kardwell, CEO of Vultr. "This gives our customers priority access to modern GPU hardware to scale AI implementations in production. Together, we are unlocking new opportunities for AI innovation and shaping the future of cloud GPU infrastructure on a global scale."
Through the increasing complexity of AI models Optimizing training and inference use cases has become essential for companies looking to efficiently scale their AI capabilities. The latest addition to the Vultr cloud infrastructure is powered by Supermicro AS-8126GS-TNMR 8-U servers. They host AMD Instinct MI325X GPUs that offer an industry-leading 256GB HBM3E memory capacity and 8TB/s of memory bandwidth. With seamless drop-in compatibility with AMD Instinct MI300X and integration with AMD ROCm™ open software, the GPU supports key AI and high-performance computing frameworks, simplifying deployment. Customers now have the flexibility to use a wide range of tools, frameworks and communities. This enables them to develop, customize and quickly deploy next-generation generative AI applications with exceptional price-performance ratio.
“Designed for exceptional performance and efficiency, the AMD Instinct MI325X accelerators are ideal for demanding AI tasks such as base model training, fine-tuning and inferencing,” said Negin Oliver, corporate vice president of business development, Data Center GPU Business Unit, AMD. “With the AMD Instinct MI325X, Vultr supports companies with the latest AI technology, giving them the computing power and efficiency they need to further develop AI solutions and accelerate their growth.”
