New climate protection program: Up to 6,000 euros for electric cars!

This program provides over 500,000 households with financial support to purchase or lease an environmentally friendly vehicle. The basic funding is 3,000 euros, which can increase to 6,000 euros through an additional child bonus and a social scale. Families and people with lower incomes in particular should benefit.

The aim of this purchase bonus is clear: the focus is on supporting technological modernization and maintaining competitiveness in the transport sector. The purchase bonus not only offers an incentive for electromobility, but is also intended to help strengthen domestic production locations. In times of weak international sales markets, Armand Zorn, also deputy group leader, emphasizes the importance of the automotive industry as a growth engine and innovation driver. “We now have to stabilize demand and stimulate investment,” he demands.

Promoting competitiveness

The SPD also calls for the European Content Regulation to be implemented quickly in order to support European manufacturers. This regulation is intended to ensure greater planning security and accompany the transformation of the industry. Ensuring the competitiveness of Germany as an automotive location is of utmost importance, especially in a changing global market.
